An authorized PennDOT user can revoke a permit or license (BOL) only after the permit or license status is Issued (including Under Inspection), Expired, or Closed in EPS. The regulations provide for PennDOT to revoke an Applicant's Permit (or Emergency Permit Certificate/Card) for a violation of a regulation or a Permit requirement.

To revoke an issued, expired, or closed permit or license:

1.      Access the applicable permit (license) from either the Application Portal or application Search screens.

2.      Click the Permit link in the Permit section of the navigation menu (near the bottom of the screen). The Permit screen displays.

3.      Click the Revoke Permit (license) button on the menu bar. The Permit (License) Revocation Justification screen displays.

4.      Enter a reason into the Revocation Justification field.

5.      Select a Notification of Revocation Date.

Note: The selected date must be after the permit (license) issue date, and at least 30 days prior to the current date.

6.      Click the OK button on the menu bar, and then click the OK button in the confirmation window.

After revoking a permit or license:

·        The status of the permit (license) is updated from Issued, Under Inspection, Expired, or Closed to Revoked.

·        EPS sends an Email notification to the permittee (licensee) indicating that their permit (license) has been revoked.

·        Any issued supplements to the permit (license) are also revoked.

·        Any draft or in-process supplements to the permit (license) are withdrawn.

·        No changes can be made to the permit (license) except those for which PennDOT users can:

·        Add, edit, or remove Attachments.

·        Add, edit, or remove Application Notes.

·        Assign Inspectors, and add and approve Reimbursements.
